On lost productivity
I bet they were disappointed there wasn’t really a fire
This was the scene outside my office Friday. The construction out back, which has been mentioned before, leaked a bunch of gas fumes into the building, setting off alarms and forcing an evacuation.
The city’s crack team of fire fighters sent two guys in to investigate, then drove away back to the station. Five minutes later, remembering the guys inside, one truck was sent back to pick them up.
Good times.

At least there was no explosion.
Oh! I forgot to mention the part about how their solution to the fume problem involved covering up the alarm so it wouldn't go off again.
