Because movies are the biggest problem with society today

Coming soon to a theater near you
The Da Vinci Code opens today in theaters. My screening will have to wait until next Friday, but I predict that even without my $9.50, Code will still take in at least $50 million this weekend.

And then there are the protesters. The more organized ones – you know, the ones capable of using technology – have a website with information on contacts and planned protest sites in each state. I don’t mind waiting a week to see the movie, but am a little disappointed that I’ll be less likely to get in a good pre-film belly laugh at their expense on the second weekend.

If I didn’t already have other plans (and let’s be honest - weren’t so lazy), I’d show up in obviously Wiccan garb and ask to join the protest because of how Code portrays paganism, just to fuck with the book burners.

Given the wretched reviews, methinks your estimate is off by a good $20 million, but we shall seee
