Subtly is not our strong point

Big Red is gone. Replacing the ginormous sign informing my office that the rear door is for emergency exits only is an equally ginormous panel of plywood.

Simply locking the doors is apparently out of the question.

I’m reminded of a story from the early days of NASA. To meet astronaut’s writing needs, the space administration spent millions of dollars developing a special pen capable of writing in zero gravity. They were successful and today's astronauts happily jot down notes with their government’s fine invention. The Russians, faced with the same problem, used a pencil.

Nothing says "classy" like plywood

I think you should commission a mural on the board. Paint it to look like the doors did originally. Then set up a camera and see how many people you fool.

The sad part is many city staff would run into it-more than once
