Weekend podcast #1 (and instructions)

The weekends are a little slow at Danspotting. Unlike when I'm at work, on the weekends I've got better things to do than blog. Hahaha. No but seriously, how about a little diversifying format change? From now on each weekend – or at least most weekends – rather than write a normal entry I'll be making available a downloadable podcast. Usually a music set, but perhaps occasionally something else.

Accessing the cast is simple. There are three ways to do it.

1) Through iTunes. This is by far the easiest way to subscribe if you have an iPod. Under the Advanced menu select the option titled Subscribe to Podcast... and input http://feeds.feedburner.com/dancasting. Then click the "update" button whenever you want to download the week's cast.

2) Through RSS. Standard syndication, available through any feed reader. Use http://feeds.feedburner.com/dancasting. If you would like to add the podcast to your My Yahoo! page simply click here.

3) The old-fashioned way. You can view information and download files one-at-a-time manually by visiting Dancasting, a Blogger-driven home page for the podcast.

I've added a link to Dancasting to the right-side menu here so you can find the podcast at any time, but keep in mind that there is no archive. As soon as I put a new set of files up the old one will disappear.

(These songs are no longer available.)

Sometimes podcasts will have a specific theme, but this week I'm starting with something simple, just a selection of 10 mixed songs from my library.
  1. Bug Eyes by Dredg
  2. You Could Make a Killing by Aimee Mann
  3. Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something
  4. Major Tom (Earth Below Us) by Peter Schilling
  5. Hey There Delilah by the Plain White T's
  6. Sweet Child of Mine by Guns N' Roses
  7. Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs
  8. C'mon C'mon by Sheryl Crow
  9. Brother in Arms by Dire Straits
  10. Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus
