This week’s nomination for most dim-witted politician

...Goes to a local boy! Specifically to Patrick Linehan of the Manassas, VA City School Board. What’s he done to earn such a prestigious accolade? Read for yourself his response to an incident at his district’s high school in which some students were caught having sex in the school auditorium:

"I don't think it crossed anyone's mind that you would have high school students sneaking off into the auditorium for sexual activity. That's where we have assemblies and bring parents in. We wouldn't have seen this 30 years ago when I was in high school.”

Really? It didn’t cross anyone’s mind that high school students like to sneak off and swap bodily fluids? Remind me never to send any of my future children to Manassas City schools. I would prefer the people who educate them not be completely daft.

Oh and for the record: A decade ago at my high school everyone knew the auditorium’s orchestra pit was the place to go for that sort of thing. There was even a mattress down there, for Christ’s sake.
