Because we shouldn't even try thinking for ourselves

British daily The Observer has a list of the 100 greatest novels of all time, according to their editors - and probably only out of those written originally in English. It's an interesting list, but for pure entertainment purposes, I'd also recommend some uber conservative weekly's Nazi-like list of books to burn (next to the list, a picture of a screaming blonde girl with "stop dating liberals!" written above her head, and an ad for a book by Ann "Douchebag" Coulter).

The former list includes such titles as "Don Quixote", "Catcher in the Rye" and "Robinson Crusoe". The latter includes texts written by such dangerous minds as Charles Darwin, Ralph Nader, Paul Ehrlich, Rachel Carson and Alfred Kinsey. And while I can't argue with their inclusion of "Mein Kampf" as a dangerous work, I do find it a bit ironic that in preparing a list of books to burn they seem to have forgotten just what made Hitler's so dangerous.
